More lunch options needed

April 18, 2014 Dylan Duran 0

It is a well-known stereotype that many students think school lunches are gross and unhealthy. I completely disagree. The quality of the school lunches is not the problem; the problem is the variety of choices the lunch menu provides.

Learning to listen

April 8, 2014 Gianna Beasley 0

These days people are busy with their own lives and problems so it makes it hard for an individual person to stop, listen, and help another person with her problems.

Kiss me, I’m Irate

March 18, 2014 Carly McCurdy 0

St. Patrick’s Day is probably one of the most misinterpreted holidays of all time. My last name is McCurdy and I grew up being very proud of my Irish heritage but when this day comes each year I am insulted by the way some people choose to “celebrate” it.

Getting back to a passion

March 6, 2014 Kristin Good 0

Spending seven hours a day at school can be a little draining. Students often turn to their phones during off hours-and sometimes in class- for a break. Whether it is watching videos on YouTube, scrolling through Pinterest or playing Candy Crush, apps can be a nice relief from the day to day school activities.

High schoolers- you’re doing it wrong

January 15, 2014 Devan Walsh 0

High school–the place where people “find themselves.” Well, the only way that people are told that they can find and define themselves is through their relationships with others. Who they choose as friends can have a lasting impact. This whole notion has been pounded into our brains countless times over the years so now it’s all mush and a dead topic. What about the other side though? What about if a person stays away from a relationship? This has an equally powerful effect. Did you know that people can actually figure out a lot about themselves without getting caught up in the dramatic choices of others? Some can actually learn much more from being independent.
