This December 13, two fencers from Heritage went to the Junior Olympics.
This was a historic year for Heritage DECA, because for the first time a student has placed in the top five and qualified for Nationals.
This year the Heritage botany programs have experienced some major changes. The club has a new sponsor and new members, and the class a new teacher.
Every year the marketing class, lead by Bolen, competes regionally against 600 other students in over 50 events like sports marketing, quick serve, restaurant management, finance, and more.
Over the past five years, Heritage High School has been growing. This year’s class of freshmen contains 429 people, over one hundred more students than last year’s graduated seniors, who numbered at only 328.
Marleena Trail ’16 has always loved snakes. A few years ago she joined the Zoological Discovery Center, run by Mrs. Karen Green. Now she is a junior board member and they have turned a small business into a major exhibit.
Ms. Lynn Marcilla is a go-getter. Before moving to Colorado and becoming the receptionist at Heritage, she lived in California and held many interesting positions.
